Noocho Cheese, Naturally!

Nutritional yeast is one of my favorite ingredients to cook with. It provides a nice cheesy richness to whatever you add it to, and a year ago I discovered this recipe during a sugar detox as I was desperately trying to spice up my proteins without sugar. I quickly discovered that this spice mixture was great for many different meals.
When added to browned ground beef, it makes a killer taco filling. Warm some almonds in the oven to release their oils then toss with a few teaspoons of this mix and bake for another few minutes and you have to die for nacho cheese almonds.
The best part of this recipe is that it is all natural and chock-full of nutrients, in particular vitamin B12 and 36g of protein, which are great way to turn your nuts and proteins into super fuel for your workouts.
Ingredients;
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 2 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Combine ingredients. For a fine powder sift/grind ingredients through sieve into a small mixing bowl.
