Easy Superfood Cereal Recipe
After cutting sugar out of my diet, finding quick breakfasts became quite difficult, and after some time of hunting I found the Q'ia brand cereal, which I found quite expensive. So with the help of costco I purchased the ingredients and made my own, with a few of my own refinements.
What I love about this recipe is that of its 5 ingredients, 3 of them (chia, hemp hearts and cocoa nibs) are superfoods (nutritionally dense foods), it contains loads of vegetable protein and healthy fats, which is great keeping you fueled through your morning.
- 1 cup chia seeds
- 1/4 cup hemp hearts
- 1/4 cup buckwheat
- 3 tbsps cocoa nibs
- 1/2 cup rasins or craisins (optional)
Instructions: blend ingredients... simple.
Scoop 1/4 cup of mixture onto your favorite cereal, or yogurt, sprinkle some berries or fruit... I love it with pineapple.
